Welcome to Heirlooms from the Garden. We are a family owned business owned by Kris and Jedy Hodge located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky,
which is conveniently located near Louisville and Lexington via I-65 for Louisville or the Bluegrass Parkway for Lexington.
What started out as a hobby in collecting and growing daylilies has turned out to be a huge adventure, because we now have over six hundred named varieties from various hybridizers, as well as several thousand of our own hybridized daylilies. My wife is a former high school biology teacher and I am a current high school chemistry teacher, so our passion for growing and hybridizing daylilies has really worked out well by school being out for the summers.
We also specialize in original painted gourd art from gourds that are grown here in Kentucky and most are grown by us. We have primarily
sold our hand-painted crafts at many local festivals and craft shows under the name of "Gourds by Jedy". Jedy is the main gourd artist
and is a exhibiting member of the Kentucky Art Guild, and has also won many other awards, including best in show in her category at
the Kentucky State Fair for two separate years.
